My Story

I founded Steffi's Confections in Colorado Springs in 2014. I am a longtime local pastry chef and confectioner.  My love of baking was ingrained in me from a very young age.

I grew up in Casper, Wyoming, learning to cook and bake alongside my mother and grandmother.  My passion grew into an artform that I further developed in cooking classes in high school and while working at a local family-owned candy store, Donell's Candys. I went on to study hospitality at Casper College and take many courses at The Wilton School of Cake Decorating.

Later, I excelled at the French Pastry School in Chicago, Illinois, while also working at the Union League Club.  In the ensuing years these studies opened the pathway to all sorts of adventures that combined my love of baking and cooking and serving the people of the community. 

After years of baking, I rediscovered my immense joy in candy making, and developed my specialty caramel recipe. From the original sea salt and vanilla bean caramels, it has expanded into a variety of other flavors, along with caramel corn, enumerable cookies, and a variety of chocolates. My popularity stems from my new and unique ideas combined, with current trends while maintaining old fashioned goodness, just like grandma used to make, but better!
