Ingredients:
· 1 cup sugar
· 1/4 cup water
Method:
1. Place sugar and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir together just to combine.
2. Do not stir from this point forward. Let sugar dissolve and start to caramelize. If necessary, you may swirl the pan after all of the sugar has dissolved.
3. Let reach an amber brown color and remove from heat.
4. To make caramel sauce, add 2 tablespoons butter, a pinch of salt and an equal amount of cream to the amount of sugar (1 cups).
