American Road Trip: Texas with Dave

 

Who’s up for a Road Trip?  In this class (which will repeat every month this year with a new region) is going to focus on a specific area of America and some of the great recipes that have come from said area.  Next stop in our food journey is TEXAS  as we zigzag our way across the country in this tasty and fun series! So come and join us - It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.  If you get that reference, you definitely need to be in these classes! This is a hands-on class. This class is taught in our 2x4 format – we’ll split up into groups of 2 and each twosome will tackle one recipe.

 

On the menu:

  • Terlingua Chili (and why Carol Shelby – yeah, the Mustang Car guy – had something to do with it)
  • Sausage Kolaches (because of the Czech Texas population – it’s a thing)
  • Migas – (the cool cousin of Chilaquiles)
  • Deep Fried Butter (What, did you think I forgot about the State Fair?)
